Mind the gap.

So this week was not too eventful, up until today at least... basically I've been studying my bottom off for Academic Decathlon, and since the competition is on Sunday we got the day out of classes (except for history, since I had a test, and maths because I hate missing that) to study in the annex all day... I didn't get too much done, but it was fun.

Except when our ex-Decathlete, whom I shall call "Eusabio" for privacy's sake (HAHAH...err...inside joke), decided to get the Civil Liberties Union involved on a matter that is completely idiotic.

In a nutshell, Eusabio got kicked off the team earlier this year because he belittled and made mean comments to a new member of our team, basically saying he was the captaion (he wasn't) and that she didn't matter at all because she was a C-student. The girl went straight to Stou, one of our coaches, told her, and Eusabio was booted.

But then he went to the principal and then the superintendent to try to appeal that decision, but it was upheld... suddenly, today, his dad and their 'prayer group' showed up at school to pray for him to get back on the team... and he brought in the Civil Liberties Union and threatened to take the matter to the Supreme Court if he had to (*cough*).

Yeah. Then tonight, apparently he and his cronies were on the news saying that he got kicked off because he refused to say the Pledge of Allegiance in homeroom.

What the heck?! Sure, Stou and Shu commented on that a few times, but that was definitely not why he was kicked off.

Argh.

He's even trying to get Stou fired, and I guess on the news he said he'll definitely be showing up at the competition on Sunday to 'see if he's on the team'. Um... no.

So that was the AcaDeca Madness of the Week.

And, that's all for now because the nasty smell/taste of my brandy-new (...) retainers is making me feel ill.
