mind the gap

Mind the gap.

27 September 2003

My road test is in 2.5 weeks, roughly, and I drove on the main road(s) [West Shore Road and Church Ave. for those of you who're keeping count] for the first time today. A problem, says you? No, says I. At least, I hope not. Father says I did just fine, and I wasn't really nervous or anything [I rather liked it], so hopefully all's well. And from what everybody's said about the road test, it shouldn't even be that difficult. Therefore, I'm optimistic about the whole thing. Hoorah. The only stupid things I did were stopping a little too short to let somebody turn and getting really confused with what my dad wanted me to do and ending up in a McDonald's parking lot. But that was okay; he'd told me to turn into it so I could turn around and go back the same way I'd came but I got confused and pulled into the drive-through part. Luckily nobody was really there so I just kind of backed up and went on my way. Life is good.
