Mind the gap.

31 May 2004

Remember, folks, Memorial Day isn't just a day you get off from school or work so you can go outside and barbecue with your friends... even if you are not an incredibly patriotic American, those who died to protect this country deserve some remembrance and honour regardless. :-

Okay, enough preaching from me.

So, 'twas a 3-day weekend... on Friday, I decided not to go to bowling and stayed home instead... umm... not sure quite what I did. Well, nothing.

Saturday... helped my mum outside, getting the pool area ready for the sod we're having delivered... went shopping at night for The Trip and purchased (or rather, the mother purchased for me) quite a lot of clothing.

Sunday morning, the mother, sister and I went to meet up with the woman in charge of the foreign exchange programme... our student is nw a 17 year old girl named Tamara. Very exciting. ^_^ Sunday was also my uncle's birthday, the one who's been in the hospital/rehabilitation centres since December. The whole family (or most of it, at least) gathered at his new care centre for a low-key party. Uncle Tom is so much better now, although he was really tired out on Sunday... and I think he really appreciated having all of us there. :-)

Today was rather uneventful as well. I went with mum, dad, and Nin to the arts and crafts faire but didn't purchase anything, came home, ate lunch, then Nicole came over so we could work on her papers. She just left about half an hour ago. After having to retype the 2 pages I'd neglected to save, I now have 10.5 pages, leaving me with 4.5 to write tomorrow night. Not bad.

So, that was my SUPER!EXCITING weekend.

How was yours?
